Terms of Service

Draft — pending attorney review. This page is published on the Tilsyn preview site for review only; it is not yet in force, and paid charging is not switched on.

Version 1.2 (draft) — November 7, 2026. The effective date is inserted when this document is published as binding.

The service

Tilsyn is live field-operations software for lawn and landscape companies, provided by Siteview Operations (“Tilsyn”, “we”). It covers crew positions, jobs and schedules, property records and photos, a customer portal each company can offer its own customers, and — with the hardware package — augmented-reality glasses run from an issued phone.

Accounts

This website is for company owners: you sign in with your email and a password you create from the setup email we send when your company is created. Your crew do not sign in here — the phone apps use a company code, username, and PIN. The owner is responsible for the company’s users on Tilsyn, including activating and deactivating them; deactivating a user locks that user out of the app at sign-in.

Accepting these terms

When the owner who sets up your company’s account completes setup, they agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy for the company, and confirm they can bind the company. We keep a record of the version accepted, who accepted it, and when, and we email a copy for your records. Crew members accept the app terms shown at first sign-in the same way.

Who can use Tilsyn

Tilsyn is a business service. Accounts are for companies; the person setting up an account must be 18 or older and able to bind the company. Crew accounts are created by the company for its workers.

Price

Tilsyn costs $20 per month per company, or $200 for the year paid up front (about 17% off the monthly schedule). The price is flat per company with unlimited crew — not per user, not per device. Prices are plus applicable Connecticut sales tax. The rate is calculated per item on your invoice — the subscription and hardware are taxed differently under Connecticut law. If we ever raise prices, we will give at least 30 days’ notice — except that a locked price does not change during its lock — and your company may cancel or accept the increase.

Rate lock

The “Charging Start Date” is the date paid service first opens to customers.

The first four companies to sign up (not counting any company on a permanent complimentary arrangement) lock their subscription price for 5 years from their sign-up date (the date their account setup was completed). A company that signs up within 12 months after the Charging Start Date locks its subscription price for 2 years from its sign-up date. Companies signing up later have no lock; for them, a price increase takes effect on at least 30 days’ notice, and the company may cancel before it takes effect.

A lock covers the subscription price only — not storage blocks, hardware, or taxes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before your lock expires; when it expires, the then-current price applies and the 30-day-notice rule governs future increases. If a locked company cancels, its lock slot does not pass to another company. A company that returns after cancelling is treated by its original sign-up date for lock purposes.

Complimentary and adjusted pricing

Tilsyn may, at its discretion, provide the service free of charge to any company, or adjust any company’s price, for any reason and for any period — for example, after a service complaint. An adjustment runs for the period stated when it is granted and then automatically reverts to the standard price.

From time to time we may offer a complimentary trial. A trial begins when the company’s account setup is completed, lasts the period stated in the offer, and covers the subscription only — hardware and extra storage are charged at the stated prices if ordered during a trial. We will notify the owner at least 7 days before a trial ends and again on the day it converts; unless the owner cancels before conversion, the standard price then applies and is billed in the normal way. Time left on a trial when a company cancels is recorded and will be honored if the company returns.

Hardware

The AR package is a kit: an issued phone plus AR glasses, set up and ready to run. Hardware is passed through at cost — $710 per kit, plus applicable Connecticut sales tax and shipping, with no markup — and is paid before it ships. Issued devices stay tied to your company. If a unit is lost or broken, report it from your owners’ desk: a replacement ships under the swap program and the old unit comes back.

Storage

The storage warnings, upload pause, bulk tools, and deletion bin described in this section take effect for your company when storage metering is enabled on your account; we will tell you in the app and by email when they switch on.

Every company includes 20 GB of storage — room for roughly 42,000 job photos. Extra storage stacks in blocks of +50 GB for $5/month each, added to your bill.

As you approach your limit, you will hear about it long before it is a problem: a banner in the app at 15, 17, and 19 GB, and your assistant notifies the owner at the same points with a rough estimate of how long you have at your current pace. At the limit, new uploads pause until there is room again — nothing you have stored is ever touched by the pause.

To free space you can export photos in bulk (owners and managers), compress old photos further, or delete in bulk. “Old” for compression means older than 4 months by default; you can choose any cutoff, up to all your photos. Compression makes photos roughly half the size, keeps them fully viewable, and cannot be undone — export originals first if you want them kept. Deletions are prepared by managers and take effect only when an owner reviews exactly what is going (count, size, sites, dates) and approves.

Deleted photos rest in a bin for 30 days. They disappear from your sites and your customer portal immediately, your storage frees up the moment they are binned, and an owner can restore them at any point in the 30 days. After 30 days they are permanently removed.

Your data, and leaving

Your company’s data — its sites, photos, records, and customer information — belongs to your company. If you cancel, you get 30 days to export everything; after that window your operational data is deleted in full, including anything resting in the bin. One exception, stated plainly so there are no surprises: we retain a business and tax record — the owner information used to sign up (owner name, sign-in email, billing email, contact phone, and the company details as entered at setup) and the company’s complete invoice and payment history. That record is kept as a business and tax record for the retention period that applies to such records, and it is not deleted on request because the law requires keeping it. Everything outside that record is erasable on request. That record holds those items and nothing else: no positioning data, photos, messages, or dictations are kept in it. Your working data does not stay; the books do.

You keep all rights in the data and photos your company puts into Tilsyn. You give Tilsyn a non-exclusive license to host, store, copy (including for backups, thumbnails, and compression you request), display within the service and your customer portal, and otherwise process that content only to run the service for your company. Tilsyn will not use your content to train models, in marketing, or for any other company, without your written permission.

Content your customers submit through your portal is covered by the same promise; as between you and Tilsyn, you are responsible for having the rights to what your company and its customers put in. The Tilsyn software, assistant, and documentation are Tilsyn’s; these terms give your company a right to use the service, not ownership of it.

The customer portal

The portal you offer your own customers is part of your Tilsyn service. What your customers see there comes from your company’s records, and your relationship with your customers remains yours.

Your company’s responsibilities

Your company is responsible for: giving its workers every notice the law requires about monitoring, location, and recording at work; the lawfulness of instructions it gives its crews through Tilsyn; and messages its crew send customers (including “on my way” texts sent from a crew member’s own number).

Ending the service

We may suspend or end a company’s service for non-payment (after notice and a chance to cure), misuse, or risk to the service; the export-and-deletion terms above still apply.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Tilsyn up and your data safe, but the service is provided as available and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We take a weekly backup snapshot of the service’s database. Backups are a disaster-recovery measure: they are kept as a single most-recent snapshot, are not an archive of your data, and are not a guarantee against data loss. Your own exports are the copy you control. To the extent the law allows, our liability for the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees your company paid in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) $100. Nothing in this section limits a right that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters — price, liability, retention, or how data is used — we will say so plainly, on this page and to company owners by email, before the change takes effect, and the change takes effect only on the date stated. Continuing to use Tilsyn after that date is acceptance, except that a price increase during a rate lock follows the Rate lock section instead. These terms are governed by Connecticut law, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
